    Account security: Why is it important?

    Over time, you’ll have large amounts of sensitive personal data about your guests and customers in Heyloyalty.

    That’s why at Heyloyalty we require all users to set up two-factor authentication to minimize the risk of data breaches. Two-factor authentication is a feature where you log in with your username and password, plus a 6-digit code that changes very frequently (typically about every 30 seconds). This code will often be on a different device than the one you’re trying to log in from.

    In Heyloyalty, we also check known leaked passwords from haveibeenpwned.com. This means that when creating your user and choosing a password, you may see a message saying your password isn’t valid. This message will appear if you try to use a password that we know has previously been leaked.

    2FA

    The first time you log in to Heyloyalty, you need to set up two-factor authentication. You choose which app you want to use (e.g., 1Password or Google, Microsoft, or Apple Authenticator), but you’ll need an app on your phone.

    Enter your username and password and click Log in.

    Now scan the QR code with your chosen authenticator app on your phone. It will generate a 6-digit one-time code that you need to enter in Heyloyalty.

    You’ll now be taken back to the first login page again. Enter your username and password again. Click Log in and enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app again. The code has likely changed since you last entered it.

    From now on, you’ll need this app in combination with your username and password whenever you want to log in to Heyloyalty.

    Create password

    When you’ve been created as a user, you’ll receive an email from Heyloyalty. Click the link in the email and you’ll be taken to a login page where you can enter the password you want to use.

    We check whether your password appears on the list at haveibeenpwned.com to ensure it hasn’t previously been leaked.

    Reset password

    At app.heyloyalty.com/login, you can request a password reset at any time by clicking Lost/forgotten password:
