Setting up default settings

    Default settings: What are they?

Default settings are so-called global settings on your Heyloyalty account.

Here you can set up your brand colours, define how much padding you want on elements in your campaigns, what font size your headings should use, etc.

Read more below, where all the settings are reviewed.

    Design settings

What all design settings have in common is that they apply by default to all your emails, whether it’s a campaign or an automation.

Horizontal image alignment defines the alignment of the images you drag into a content block in an email.

Cell padding is how many pixels of space there are around all cells in an email. Note that when you enter 10 px, it’s 10 px above, below, on the left, and on the right. It’s not possible to define different padding for just one or more sides—only the same padding on all four sides.

Mobile optimisation should be set to yes, so you don’t have to add it manually to all your campaigns.

You can also define a default text for your preheader here, so all emails are pre-filled with this text. That way, you’re sure there’s something in the preheader before you send the campaign. Of course, you can easily change this preheader on the emails you set up.

Advanced content segments is a bit more advanced. If you enable this feature and set it to yes, all your segments in the list will also be available as row rules. Note! If you change the segment after using it as a row rule, the change to this segment will apply everywhere this segment is used.

    System settings

You can choose to enable suppression lists. A suppression list is a list where you add email addresses you don’t want to send to, even if a contact signs up to your list with that email address. You can choose whether this suppression should apply to everything sent to the list or everything sent from a specific sender profile.

By enabling the pause list, you can pause a contact so they don’t receive emails for a given period.

Stop campaigns without content is useful if you use automatically inserted content in your emails. If this content is the only content in the email, you risk sending an empty email. By enabling this feature, the system will stop the email so you avoid sending an empty email.

In the same way as with content, you can choose to stop campaigns without a segment and prevent such campaigns from being sent.

What both number of campaigns per page and number of automations per page have in common is that what you choose here applies wherever you have an overview of campaigns and automations, respectively.

    Custom validation for member data

In this block, you can add manual validation for mobile numbers on the list. You can therefore set both a minimum and maximum length for the value in a mobile field.

    Text settings

The 8 different text types in the editor, when you design campaigns and automations, can be managed here. However, it only works with Heyloyalty’s standard template.

If you’ve had a template made by Heyloyalty or another partner (or coded one yourself), that template’s text settings will override the default settings you define here.
